zero

Zero food miles here. Fresh figs warm from the sun, yum. Best part I seem to be the only one who loves them. I had them on a pizza last night and my family thought I was from another planet. What are you eating with zero food miles?

  1. I got some lovelies from our Farmer's Market on Saturday. Baby Sacha is my only competition for them.

  2. Oh yummo - I was actually just thinking this morning about a garden I had in Hamilton with a fig tree - no only are the fruit brilliant, but it was the best tree to find shade under on a warm day. We are going hard on the lettuce at the moment, and our Roma toms are coming along nicely :) Thanks for the comment on my blog. Nx

  4. That looks divine. We're eating tomatos, spinach, lettuce, cucumber, basil, mint and lemons at the moment. It's amazing how many combinations you can find with the same crop for many weeks. Really works the brain cells!

  5. YUM! Wish I had a fig tree! And yess, soooo good on Pizza! I was just smiling to myself the other day, thinking that my 8.5 month son has all his meals food-mile free! Yay for breastfeeding! :-).*
